On-line tools

ISW Limits is a leader in using on-line applications in the areas of well-being, care and mental health (e-mental health).

ISW Limits has developed on-line tools for both the public at large and for the business context in particular.

For the public at large:

  • The "Fit-in-je-hoofd" ('Fit in your head') self-test at the request of the Flemish government

  • Kleur je Leven ('Colour your Life'): an assisted self-help offering for people with complaints of depression (in conjunction with the Trimbos institute)

  • Gelukscoach ('Happiness coach'): a self-help offering that is based on positive psychology (in conjunction with CM and the Trimbos institute)

For business:

  • ISAT: an interactive self-test with advice for employees and global feedback for management

  • Kleur je Leven ('Colour your Life'): self-help course for your organisation, linked to the advice in the ISAT

  • Gelukscoach ('Happiness coach'): tool based on positive psychology for your organisation, linked to the advice in the ISAT

What are on-line tools?

On-line tools are provided via a website on the Internet or the company intranet. They can help to carry out measurements, provide information, give personalised advice and tips through self-testing, self-help through videos, exercises and diaries and to assist with behaviour change. In addition, those tools also provide possibilities for communication among users (e.g. forum and chatrooms) or between a coach and a user (on-line coaching via e-mail, chat, 'Ask the Expert').

On-line tools have a lot of advantages, including

  • Empowerment: They are based on the self-reliance of people and want to support people in taking an active part in dealing with their problems

  • Great reach/customised offerings: They make it possible to reach large groups of people simultaneously with an individual offering. The advice, tips and exercises that are offered are based on the individual results that people achieve in tests about mental and physical health and motivation.

  • Easy access: Participants themselves decide when and where they use the tools. They can go back to data provided previously and they can participate anonymously.

  • Cost-efficient: With the use of self-help and empowerment, the participants retain responsibility for as long as possible and the more expensive and more intensive face-to-face coaching is only used when necessary.
