ISW Limits has developed a support programme for managers, called, simply enough, the 'Leadership Support Programme'.
The intention is to go further than the traditional manager-training offering and provide more substantial services. Too often, the development of management skills ends at a one-off training programme, after which they have to rely on themselves. That is why we suggest combining our training for managers with intervision and individual coaching. We believe that that integrated approach is the best way to develop management skills. We give an overview of the total programme, but it is also possible to offer individual services.
Training Supportive Leadership
The training focuses on leadership with attention to both the well-being of the employees as the company objectives.
We work in accordance with the ‘Situational Leadership’ model and teach supervisors in a plethora of executive abilities: self-awareness, personal growth, coaching, supporting and guiding and managing their employees, dealing with conflicts and optimizing teamwork in a view of insights in group dynamics, and all this while guarding the company objectives.
Our training is very practically-oriented and focuses on role-playing and practicing.
It is a four-day training with individual support (coaching) for the participants.
To secure the follow-up and embedding of the acquired skills, we offer the possibility of intervision groups following the training. Under the supervision of an expert, pending problems can be discussed. It can also be interesting to organize intervision groups at certain key points for the organization.
Coaching for managers
Managers receive individual coaching in the skills that they have learned during the training programme. A coaching programme can be started in tandem with the basic training or separate from it.
Help desk for managers
Our help desk gives managers a way to ask questions by e-mail or telephone - in confidence - if they have questions or encounter problems in 'people management'. An expert responds to the questions and provides additional assistance.
This is not intended to be competition for the support that is provided by the personnel department or HR. To the contrary, we often act as a valued partner for HR. The help desk makes it possible for managers to discuss problems anonymously with an external sounding board, which lowers the threshold significantly in comparison with going to HR. ISW Limits can then provide feedback to HR confidentially about general trends and problems at the management level and thereby serve as a bridge between the managers and HR. For organisations that do not have a personnel department or HR group, or only a small one, the help desk can also provide the necessary support for managers in dealing with problems that they are not able to resolve themselves.
